Process to apply New Voter ID card through Online – step by step Guidelines to fill Form 6

Step by step guidelines on applying voter ID card through online:

Step: 1

Before applying voter ID card, you must get ready with valid Phone number and Email ID.

Go to the http://eci-citizenservice.nic.in and click ok button

The following page will be displayed on the screen

As your applying for new voter ID card online, you need to select New User Registration

Step: 5

When you click on New User Registration, the following page will be displayed on the screen.

Now, enter your mobile number and email Id

Step: 7

After, entering click on the Registration button

After clicking register button, wait for while you will get verification code to your mobile through SMS. It takes minimum 2- 5 minutes.

After receiving verfication code enter it in given box, and click on verify

Now, you will get new page as shown beloe. Now, once again enter verfication code and click on proceed

Here, after enetring valid verfication code, you will get Form 6 in the next page as shown below

Fill up all the details mentioned in the page carefully and correctly, the application will not be process if you missed to filled any field

After filling all the details, finally click on submit button, after approving the page you will get Application ID number which should be save carefully for further details.

Who are eligible to file Form-6?

1. First time applicant on accomplishing age of 18years or more on the initial day of January of the year with position to which the electoral roll is being revised.

2. Person shifting his / her place of normal home outside the district in which he / she is already registered.

When Form-6 can be filed

1.    Here application should be filed after outline publication of electoral roll of the district. The application requires to be filed within the precise days given for the function.

2.    Due promotion is given about the above period when the alteration programme is declared.

3.    Just one copy of the application is to be filed.

4.    Application for inclusion of name can be filed during the year even when the alteration series is not going on. During non-revision period, application should be filed in duplicate.
